Welcome to Year 1. Croeso i Ddosbarth 1! 

Here you will find useful information about our class. 

In Year 1, your child will learn through the Curriculum for Wales. The six areas of learning are:

• Language, Literacy and Communication
• Mathematics and Numeracy
• Health and Well-being
• Expressive Arts
• Humanities
• Science and Technology

The children develop these areas of learning through directed activities in class, as well as completing more independent activities in our provision areas, both indoors and outdoors. Through the Curriculum for Wales, the children are taking more responsibility for their own learning through sharing their ideas and contributing to the planning of activities. 

Our topic for this half term is: Wonderful Wales.
