Little Acorns

Ysgol Derwen was successful with a grant application to the Welsh Government to improve provision of wrap around care at the school. Work towards the erection of a new purpose-built unit located to the rear of the school started in September 2021. The build was completed by May 2022 and Kinnerton Little Acorns relocated into their new base in June 2022.

Little Acorns currently provides:

• Breakfast Club (7.45 am to 8.55am)
• After School Club (End of the school day until 6pm)
• Nursery Plus (11.30am to 3pm)
• Early Entitlement (10 hours a week – previously provided by the school)
• Pre School Provision

Over the coming twelve months Little Acorns plan to establish provision for:

• Holiday Clubs
