Information for parents using key worker provision

Information for Parents Using Vital Key Worker Childcare at Ysgol Derwen On Monday December 20^th and Tuesday December 21^st.

Good afternoon,

Hope you are keeping well, and are looking forward to the Christmas break.

Thank you for requesting a place at our childcare setting at Ysgol Derwen and also for your hard work and dedication as vital Key Workers.As you will already know, the childcare provision for key workers will be provided at Ysgol Derwen on Monday December 20^th and Tuesday December 21^st.

This provision must only be used for the duration of the key worker parents time that they are unable to complete their work duties at home.  If you are a key worker but are still able to complete your duties from home, you would still be expected to keep your child at home to reduce the risk of transmission of the virus.

Childcare will operate from 8.30am to 3.45pm on both days.

When using the childcare please do not park in the school car park.

Please drop your child off at the Nursery Door located to the front of the school (to the right of the main entrance)

A member of staff will greet you at the door. If there is no one there, please knock the door/ring the bell then move back 2m so your child can enter the school.

All staff will have your child’s details. Please let staff know who will be collecting your child at the end of the day.

Childcare will take place in the School Hall and within one classroom.

As numbers attending school are low we will not be keeping children apart according to classes or bubbles.

During the day, we will have activities and resources prepared for the children.

Rooms will be cleaned regularly throughout the day.

We will also be using the outdoor environment whenever possible.

Pick up time – Please ring the bell next to the Nursery Entrance and a member of staff will come to answer the door.

There is no need to wear school uniform for these two days.

Catering staff will be in school on both days to prepare hot food for lunch. To keep things simple the menu will be :

• Monday – Chicken Nuggets and Chips
• Tuesday – Burger and Chips

Normal meal process apply @£2.30

Vegetarian options also available.
